My Review of the Jetsetter Trouser from wayre

Back in August I featured wayre, a travel lifestyle apparel brand, in a blog post

Wayre makes stylish and functional clothes for the modern traveler.

In this follow up post, I would like to introduce my readers to wayre’s recently-launched first pants, the jettsetter trouser. wayre makes its garments sustainably and ethically, from reclaimed plastic waste. Plastic that would otherwise end up in landfills is regenerated into fabric.

In this blog post I again highlight wayre’s sustainable and ethical practices, which include a fully traceable supply chain from sourcing to manufacturing and the use of BLUESIGN verified fabric. To learn more about wayre’s ethical and sustainable practices please check out my earlier blog post sustainable travel wear from wayre. wayre is my go-to brand for versatile, sustainable travel apparel and as more people learn of the brand I expect it will become their go-to brand as well.  Below is my review of wayre’s jetsetter trouser.

Jetsetter Trouser Fit and Sizing

I would describe the jetsetter trouser as a comfy wide leg pant.  It has a high-rise elasticated waist.  The front of the pants have a traditional waist band with an elasticated waist at the back as seen in the photo below. The fit works well for me. The high rise gives me maximum coverage for a flattering fit and the elasticated waist provide additional comfort.  The pants are stretchy and breathable.

wayre is an inclusive brand as seen from the diversity of the models.  I have enough wayre pieces to say that they truly aim to embrace all body types, their clothes generally fit all.  The jetsetter trouser also comes in tall for a better fit for tall girls.

All in all I would say they’re a great fit.

wayre offers inclusive sizing with the jetsetter trouser running from size 00 to 24. They offer a detailed size chart and you can reach out to their style consultants to help you figure out your fit.  I suggest you look at the size chart before your purchase.  My size is typically anywhere between 00 to 2 depending on brand, I found wayres’ size chart to be really helpful.

Jetsetter Trouser Features

It would not be a wayre piece without pockets.  In addition to writing this blog I also have an Instagram account and everyone who follows me knows about my obsession with pockets.  Growing up my mom always said that pockets are a sign of good tailoring.  Well, the jetsetter trouser has six pockets! That’s right, six pockets, one of which is zippered for additional security for your valuables when traveling.  Just as is the case with all wayre garments it’s stink, wrinkle and spill-proof fabric and low maintenance as it does not really need much ironing.  When I got my pants in the mail, I just gave them a little steam and they were good to go.  I wash my wayre pieces in the washing machine and air dry but they can be washed by hand which is perfect for travel.

Sustainable Fabric

The jetsetter trouser is made from Aire-flex, a lightweight travel performance fabric. It is 100% recycled, has mechanical four way stretch fabric that is engineered to be durable and comfortable.  It is Bluesign certified non-toxic and is ethically made from post consumer plastic waste collected from landfills in Taiwan.

Why wayre is Perfect for a Travel Capsule Wardrobe

I had never really thought about a travel capsule wardrobe until I discovered wayre and packed 3 wayre outfits for a 5 day trip. With the addition of the jetsetter trouser, my travel capsule wardrobe is practically complete.  wayre pieces are designed to be versatile to allow you to travel light but still stylish. I truly believe that for short overseas trips you can totally skip baggage claim and opt for hand luggage only instead.  Also perfect for the crowded holiday travel season!

If you are interested in trying a wayre piece, I have a code MSPAULA for 10% of your order.
